Based in beautiful Orofino Idaho, we're a collection of sportsmen and local citizens who are opposed to many of IDFG's management policies for big game. In particular, we are extremely concerned for the future of our whitetail deer herds. Under current regulations in many units, whitetail bucks and does are pursued by bow for 30 days, followed by 53 straight days with a high powered weapon, and then 2 weeks with muzzleloader. These combined seasons run through the entire breeding cycle and has had an extremely detrimental effect on the deer herds in these areas. We understand there are other factors the deer are facing such as disease, predators, and habitat loss, which are out of our direct control. But as Sportsman, we can work to control our seasons and bag limits.
